Kirkland Benson - Founder | Creative Director

Hey! My name is Kirkland, the founder of K-Benson Studio.

My journey behind the lens started with a childhood obsession and a favorite Christmas gift: a handheld camcorder. I recorded everything. But as I grew, my path took a few turns... from discovering photography in 8th grade to a "forced" film elective in high school (mostly because I wasn't allowed in the kitchen).

It wasn't until I joined a church media team that everything clicked. I fell back in love with the art of visual storytelling, and I haven't looked back since.

Along the way, my wife, Ashley, has been my greatest supporter. Her encouragement is the reason I’m here today, turning a lifelong passion into a career.

I don’t want to be just another guy with a camera. My goal is to go above and beyond to help you represent the best version of yourself. Whether it’s through film or photography, I’m here to make sure your vision is captured exactly how you need it.

P.S. If you ever want to send me on a trip to Dallas, Texas (my favorite place on earth), my bags are already packed!

I’m Ashley, and while my title involves managing the details, my role is deeply personal. As the wife of Kirkland, I have a front-row seat to the passion that drives this company.

My mission is to ensure that our daily operations run as smoothly as possible. From scheduling to handling finances, I’m here to make sure the "business" side of things feels like home. For me, this isn't just a responsibility; it’s a family legacy we’re building together!
